Riverside City College opened Orange Empire Conference action with a 15-5, five-inning loss to Golden West College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers drop to 4-11 on the year and open conference with a 0-1 mark, while the Rustlers improve to 10-7 overall, 1-0 in the OEC.
Alysha Kendrick led RCC with a 3-for-3 and one RBI performance at the plate, while Carissa O'Neil went 1-for-3 with three RBIs and one run scored.
RCC and GWC continue their three-game series at Golden West on Thursday at 2 p.m.
