Riverside City College closed out its Orange Empire Conference series with No. 15-ranked Saddleback College on Friday, dropping an 8-1 loss on the road.
The Tigers slip to 7-20 overall and 2-8 in conference, while the Bobcats improve to 19-9 on the year and 7-2 in the OEC.
For the third game in a row, Alysha Kendrick (1-for-3) hit a home run, drilling a solo homer in the top of the second to put the Tigers on the board.
It was the only run the visitors would score; however, as Saddleback pulled out to an 8-1 lead and never let go.
RCC returns home next Thursday, hosting Santa Ana College at 2 p.m. to start another three-game series.
