Riverside Falls to Santa Ana
Riverside City College began its Orange Empire Conference series with Santa Ana College on Tuesday, falling 4-2 on the road.
The Tigers drop to 6-17 overall, 1-6 in conference, while the Dons improve to 4-15 on the year and 2-5 in the OEC.
Madyson Aguilera (2-for-3) and Ruby McDonald (2-for-3) led RCC with two hits each, while Karly Romero (1-for-4), Giselle Flores Morales (1-for-3) and Brooke Bishop (1-for-2) also had hits.
RCC scored first with two runs in the top of the third on a two-out rally. With two runners on, Aguilera doubled to right field, allowing both runners to come home.
Santa Ana answered back with two runs in the bottom half of the inning before taking the lead in the fifth and holding on.
The Tigers head to Long Beach on Thursday for a 2 p.m. contest.
