Riverside City College opened its Orange Empire Conference series with Orange Coast College on Tuesday, but ultimately lost 9-6 in eight innings.
The Tigers drop to 8-22 on the year and 3-10 in the OEC, while the Pirates improve to 15-15 overall, 9-4 in conference.
RCC only had five hits in the game, one each from Karly Romero, Abigail Baldwin, Alysha Kendrick, Giselle Flores Morales, and Ruby McDonald.
The Tigers look to bounce back as they hit the road to OCC on Thursday, with the first pitch set for 2 p.m.
