No. 4-ranked Riverside City College closed out the regular season with a 16-9 victory over No. 10-ranked Saddleback College on Wednesday.
The Tigers improve to 20-8 on the year and 4-1 in the Orange Empire Conference, locking up second place in the conference.
Yosra Elseifi led Riverside with five goals, while Angelina Beall followed with four goals. Isabella Stolpp and Madison Faulkner each added two goals, while Brianna Hoover, Natalia Jaime, and Presley Burrell also scored.
After some back-and-forth action, RCC dominated the second and third quarters, outscoring the Bobcats 8-1 to jump out to an 11-4 lead and held on for the 16-9 win.
Riverside gets a week to recover before the OEC Championship Tournament next week, hosted at Orange Coast College.
