No. 4-ranked Riverside City College earned its spot in the Orange Empire Conference Championship game after defeating Saddleback College 19-11 in the semifinals Friday afternoon.
The Tigers improve to 21-8 overall, while the Bobcats drop to 14-15 on the year.
Yosra Elseifi led Riverside with seven goals, while Brooklyn Wagner had four goals and dished out five assists. Angelina Beall added three goals, while Keira Casey chipped in a pair of goals and Kaia Boone, Natalia Jaime, and Madison Faulkner also scored for the Tigers.
After trailing by one at halftime, RCC launched a ferocious second half, outscoring Saddleback 12-3 in the second half, including seven unanswered goals in the fourth to take the game and earn its spot in the championship game.
The Tigers will face No. 3-ranked Orange Coast College in the championship at 3:10 p.m.
