No. 4-ranked Riverside City College extended its winning streak to nine straight games after closing the Cuesta Tournament with another pair of wins. The Tigers opened with a dominating 16-3 victory over Chaffey College and followed with another explosive win, downing Las Positas College 23-9.
RCC improved to 15-4 overall, while Chaffey dropped to 4-12 on the year and Las Positas slipped to 2-11 overall.
In the opener against the Panthers, nine Tigers scored, with Kaia Boone leading the charge with four goals. Yosra Elseifi, Lily Helberg, Angelina Beall, and Brianna Hoover each added two goals, while Isabella Stolpp, Kailin Stumpf, Ashlyn Alle,n and Keira McDonald also scored.
Riverside kept on the prowl in the second game of the game, once again with nine Tigers getting in on the scoring action. Elseifi finished with seven goals, while Madison Faulkner followed with five goals. Beall added three goals, while Hoover and Allen rattled in two goals. Boone, Stolpp, Natalia Jaime, and Keira Casey also scored for RCC.
Ella Sheldon made eight saves in the cage for the Tigers on the day.
The Tigers get back to Orange Empire Conference action on Wednesday, taking on Fullerton College at 1 p.m. on the road.
