The reign in the north continued to bode true in the final say of the 2019 American River Rage as the Tigers took on San Joaquin Delta early Sunday morning. It was all Riverside from the get go as a five-goal first period set the tone leading to a 15-4 routing.

It was the Nicole Tormey show throughout the entire game as the freshman attacker emerged as a reliable weapon. It had been a team attack throughout the most of the tournament, but Tormey took on the bulk of the offense in the victory by scoring five goals while assisting on one. She scored in the first three periods by scoring two goals each in the first and second periods.

Freshman Jesenia Wilson had a strong offensive showing as seen in three goals, while sophomore Hannah Peercy netted two scores and one assist. Freshman Dori Phillips got in on the action with a goal as well.

Sophomore goalkeeper Madison Button played her first complete game and recorded 13 saves which stands as a season and career high. She has allowed a mere five scores in her flawless 4-0 record.

Riverside (4-0) looks to maintain its flawless record as they enter into Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play against the 2018 State Championship Runner Up Fullerton College Hornets. Watch the game live on Riverside Athletics YouTube channel.
